TWIN AXLE TRAILER DESIGN

Providing double the braking power and twice the floatation over soft surfaces compared to single-axle units – the load-sharing ‘Soft-Glide’ leaf spring suspension provides a superior ride over a single axle trailer and doesn’t send violent feed-back down the drawbar into the tow vehicle like a single-axle design does, making towing a Piranha a safe & enjoyable experience. Heavy-duty All-Terrain tyres on tough steel rims ensure the BT300 will go anywhere your tow vehicle can take it with ease.

DESIGNED IN AUSTRALIA

Built for the toughest conditions. This includes that all operating functions & switchgear are performed on the LHS of the machine, making it safer for the operators when using the chipper parked on the side of a road in Australia (or any RHD country).

POSI-ARC INFEED ARM PIVOT

Our design means that the large top infeed wheel aggressively climbs towards the in-coming timber, up and on top of the trunks and brush through the natural ‘positively inclined’ arc that our feed arm design provides. This makes for a far stronger feeding action than alternative infeed designs, allowing the Piranha to pull in difficult branches and twisty timber with ease. The hydraulic lift & crush also aides in feeding difficult timber sections into the chipping drum, and with a 380mmH X 500mmW opening large timber is easily processed.

STAGGERED 4-KNIFE CHIPPER DRUM

Designed in-house by the Piranha team with integrated high-velocity fans ensure a superior chipping action and very strong chip discharge. Being 650mm in diameter ensures that the chipping / cutting action is mostly done on the lower half of the circular arc resulting in less vibrations compared to units with smaller drum diameters in the 15”/380mm category. The replaceable bolt blocks ensure that the drum does not suffer integrity damage if the blades encounter foreign material fed into the machine and can be easily replaced if required.

POWERFUL ISUZU ENGINE

With 197hp it uses a hydraulic auto-engaging clutch which ensures the easiest start-up & operating procedure of any hand-fed chipper unit currently available, with legendary reliability and power to make short work of even the toughest job.

SUPERIOR CORROSION PROTECTION

All manufactured sheet-metal steel parts are individually primed and painted before assembly of the chipper unit for superior long-lasting corrosion protection.
